Great Outdoors Pinnacle Grills

Monday March 14, 2005
gngstout Writes:

"Has anyone checked out the line of Great Outdoors Pinnacle Grills that Lowes is carrying this year? They have both a 4 burner and 5 burner w/ rotis burner model. They look fairly well built.

I know Great Outdoors makes some propane smokers that people are fond of, but I don't know anything about the grills."

Lowe’s is not longer carrying this line of grills. The Pinnacle was the highest rated by Consumer Reports (Large Models) last year. If anyone knows where they are available in SC let me know.

(10) Lorkraemer says:

Have four burner. How do you remove the burner? It loosens with a lift and twist, but then hangs up on the ignighter. I don’t want to wreck anything, but there must be a way.

(11) Gerald says:

Hey Ro

We had the TG 560 and had used it for about 5 months. While cleaning it, the grill caught on fire and burned the valves, battery, and all the handles off. I think its a design flaw. They suggested it was because we put our grill brush (plastic handle) what they call a “warming drawer”, but they never mention what the drawer if for.

(12) Dewayne says:

Wow! Seems like they have problems with the hose catching fire. I had mine for the second season and the hose caught fire. Nothing was in the draw either. Must be a design flaw. Did anyone else have this issue and did they cover materials under warranty? My email is doat4us@comcast.net

Bought this grill-5 burner-at Lowes about 1 1/2 years ago. Nice looking grill for $500 and worked well for about 6 months then things started breaking. All but 2 knobs have melted in the back and most wont turn anymore. Always cleaned and covered. Had a 20 year old Weber “tank” that worked better till the day we gave it away. Stay away from these grills as they are dangerous and junk.

(15) Byron says:

My barbecue just started on fire as well.If it is from utensils in the warming drawer, tell me why a warmer drawer would get that hot.I think it melted the gas hose from the tee to the rottesserie control knob.

(16) Pete Snyder says:

I’ve had my 560OP for about 3 years..never a problem until now when the gas regulator quit.
It;s the type with two feeds..one to the side burner; one to the main grill. Can’t find the replacement anywhere here in Phoenix nor on the few on-line sites I’ve checked. Can anyone assist?

MAY BE FAR FETCHED QUESTION, LOL BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW THE FOLLOWING:
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE THE GREAT OUTDOORS-PINNACLE BBQ GP450RSP PROPANE GRILL CAN BE USED WITH NATURAL GAS. CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE. DOES ANYONE KNOW AS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN CONVERT IT FROM PROPANE TO GAS BY HOOKING GASLINE TO IT ISNTEAD OF GOING OUT TO FILL OUT THE PROPANE TANK.

OTHER THAN THAT WORKS GREAT AND NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH IT.

CAN ANYONE ASSIST?

THANX
