"I have been to several Brazilain BBQ restaraunts(charasquerias???sp) and the food is great, spit roasted meats with a sweet spicy rub. Does anyone know about recipes for these rubs?"

There is no rub. All it is is a very coarse salt that is rubbed on. That is all, just salt. You might be able to get it here in the States at a Brasilian specialy store, I don’t know for sure. I just brought some back from Brasil.

It is called ” salmoura, thick sea salt brime that is aplyed on with a few branches of bay leaf that just sits in the salt water mix for a few hours before putting it into action.
