Plumbing an outdoor kitchen

"I am planning an outdoor BBQ/kitchen area. I am planning on running cold water, nat gas and electrical.

Assuming I follow local code (MN) what are the basics for plumbing and wiring (ie 1/2 lines, copper vs steel, depth to be buried, PVC covering, etc)

Any help would be appreciated, the local plumbers want a consult fee and the books do not really get into details. I am well above average skill in electrical, plumbing, caprpentry etc, for DIY'er, but a little direction is always a bonus."
