Short cut rump roast

"I just picked up a short cut rump roast today. I am planning on cooking it on Sunday. My thoughts are to seer it over hot hot charcaol, them move it to a cooler part of my grill. Im thinking of cooking it at a temp of 275-300. That sound right? Or should I just stay higher, like 350-400? Whould it matter with that cut of meat."
