Horror Stories!

ARMENDARIZ Writes:

"I thought it might be fun to share some of those BBQ moments we wish never would have happened......

About 3 years ago, my family and I held a picnic at a local park which also happens to have a lake. (You know where I'm going with this already! lol) We had 3 grills going and we had everything from chicken, shrimp, ribeyes, t-bones, and even a pork loin on them. I own a '69 VW Bus which I parked about 20-30 feet away from the grills. In a matter of seconds my nephew disengaged the parking brake and put it in neutral and it slowly rolled toward the grills. The next thing we heard was CRUNCH AND SPLASH! The VW knocked all three grills into the lake. Luckily the retaining wall stopped the bus from taking a skinny dip. My nephew quickly jumped out when he noticed what he had done. We got a card in the mail from the aqautic life in the lake thanking and complimenting us on the buffet. The ducks mightily enjoyed the shrimp. The crawfish mentioned that they have never had such tender and juicy ribeye in all their life. We now secure my nephew to a chair with duct tape when we have gatherings and needless to say we make sure grills aren't in the path of runaway vehicles. We ended up ordering pizza that day!! The only thing hurt was our appetite."
